At LUXIES, relationships are at the heart of everything we do. We want every child to feel safe, known and valued. Our teachers take the time to understand each child’s personality, interests, strengths and individual way of learning.

Through warm relationships and a strong sense of belonging, children develop the confidence to express themselves, take risks, try new things and build positive relationships with others before children can confidently explore the world, they need to know that they have a safe place from which to explore it.

THE ENVIRONMENT AS THE THIRD TEACHER

We believe the spaces children spend time in can inspire just as much learning as the people around them.

Our environments are thoughtfully prepared to invite curiosity, creativity and independence. Natural materials, open-ended resources and carefully considered spaces encourage children to touch, build, experiment, create, collaborate and make discoveries of their own.

Rather than filling our classrooms with decorations simply for decoration’s sake, we allow the environment to reflect the children, their interests and the learning taking place around them.
